Our Company History

We are a 3rd generation family owned and operated business with over 50 years of experience,
we know pianos and how to fill all of your piano needs.

Darrell’s Music Hall started back in 1969 when Ken Darrell Sr left his job at Wurlitzer Piano Company and moved his family up from New York to start his life’s dream of opening his own family piano store. Ken’s eldest son KC started here on day one with his father, learning the business from the ground up. While Ken’s younger son Doug went to school to become a Piano Technician and Rebuilder.

Ken and KC worked tirelessly building their dream into reality. From delivering pianos on Sunday mornings, to drop of the hat service and repair calls. The Darrell’s became known for their excellent customer service.

In 1970 The Darrell’s proudly became one of the very first Yamaha Piano Dealers in the United States. In the 1980s with the introduction of the digital piano, Darrell’s started carrying both the Yamaha Clavinova, and the Roland Digital Piano lines.

Now in our 48th year and 3rd generation of ownership, Ken’s eldest grandson Adam has taken the reigns and moved the company forward into the world of Music Technology with New England’s largest selection of Digital & Hybrid pianos. While still offering a huge selection of new & pre-owned pianos with devoted Grand Piano and Upright Piano showrooms with over 100 Acoustic pianos on display and in stock. We welcome players of all abilities to stop on and play our huge selection of pianos, everyone is welcome, nothing is off limits. We encourage you and the whole family to come in, play NH’s largest selection of pianos, and make music with us!

Today we are still a independent family piano store proudly holding true to our values, morals, and standards set forth almost 50 years ago by Ken Darrell Sr. We love what we do, and look forward to making your acquaintance
